Teaching & Advising

When it comes to education, I believe students represent the most important customer. The goal then, should rest in offering students the best possible product. And this characterizes my main focus: giving students a worthwhile and cost-effective educational experience. For me, the center of education is student success, and my experience and expertise revolve around it. And helping students succeed lies at the heart of why I chose Academic as a career. I help students succeed in two ways: teaching and advising. Neither, I believe, can be separated from the other, and to be successful in one, you must be successful in the other.

Ultimately, I remain content with the fact that my students (when they decide to work hard!) produce utterly amazing results. Whether that means they successfully garner funding for a research project, prepare themselves well for graduate school, successfully complete independent research projects, discover the joy of fieldwork, or obtain a solid internship and after-graduation employment. I just want them to succeed and enjoy what they do. So I stand ready to help any way possible. I live to serve them.
